It was getting hard for maui to maintain the VBB site with his job and all since it needs so much work to keep the same beautiful look we had there...... Its sad really..... Stuff keeps getting worse and worse......... But this SMF site is excellent! (Its even faster than the VBB site was)

SMF is definitely excellent. I did quite a bit of digging and research before making the choice of it. I'll be helping Maui out with upkeep and maintenance while also trying to resolve the issues on the old board to hopefully bring back its stability- too many amazing discussions and memories there to let it go by the wayside.
Once things are running well I'm sure that we will reach out to everyone for assistance as well.

Well, my wife turned 67 today - like I did in February.
Feeling old when my daughter is 34 next month, my son's 31 and my "little" grand-daughter turns 11 in August.
Not on any forums etc anymore. Don't upload, download, find fixes etc these days.
Only exception is good quality movies on torrents. Leaves the file sharing sites for dead re quality and speed.
I took up art lessons a year ago much to the surprise of all who know me.
Couldn't draw stick figures but progressed fairly well and find it really relaxing.
Only other real commitment is to an Australia-wide place called Men's Shed. We old retired buggers fool around with woodwork, some metal work and jobs we hear of, or are asked to do in the community.

57, will be 58 this year.. up til about 5 years ago i didn't feel old but dang it sat down on me full force now ha ha!
Trying to claw my way back a little. Baby steps ha ha

Like most here, the years are stacking up. I've been retired for almost 2 years and I'll be turning 67 in a couple of months. Physically, I've slowed down. It seems that the transformation from youth happens rather abruptly. Nobody warned me about that. I spend some time restoring old things and enjoying honing my skills at just about everything and anything I've ever dabbled in.

Good one! ;D I resemble that. No, I put my efforts into mostly non-human things that speak to me without talking back, things like tools etc.

Turning 60 this year, with our two youngest entering the first grade this Sept. WOAH!

Jeez............. you lot are a load of youngsters, I'll be 75 come August - electronics have sure come a long way since I started in the 60's, valves ,germanium transistors then silicon and now !!
